Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1648-1695) fue una poetisa, dramaturga y pensadora novohispana, considerada una de las figuras más importantes del Siglo de Oro hispanoamericano. Destacó por su talento literario, por defender la educación de las mujeres y por su aguda crítica social y religiosa. Su obra abarca poesía lírica, teatro y ensayos filosóficos, entre los que destaca “Respuesta a Sor Filotea de la Cruz”. Sor Juana combinó erudición, ingenio y compromiso intelectual, y dejó un legado cultural y feminista que sigue inspirando a escritores y pensadoras de todo el mundo. Es conocida como la décima musa.
